Special Projects is seeking a deputy editor for its dynamic Narrative Projects team. This editor will help conceive, execute and realize ideas that can be published as articles that can inspire events, books, podcasts and more. We are looking for a creative person who is a team player and can collaborate with journalists who work in various types of media. The ideal candidate is a skilled manager who has deep experience communicating and building projects and stories with multiple teams from the ground up. The Narrative Project team, led by Veronica Chambers, has published notable work including a book, event series and a robust package celebrating the 100th anniversary of U.S. women's suffrage. Recent work includes a multimedia package about the history and tensions of Caribbean carnival celebrations, an audio AR piece on a Harlem gospel choir, a package on black superheroes and events with Questlove, N.K. Jemisin and Esperanza Spalding
