The New York Times is seeking a deeply experienced political and investigative reporter to cover the struggle over American democracy, in particular the fight for control over the administration of elections in government institutions at the national, state and local level. We are looking for a proven digger experienced at following money and using documents and sources to unearth important news. We want someone who can stay on top of developments involving the two major parties, state lawmakers and legislation, secretaries of state, elections commissions, county clerks and canvassers, poll watchers, court fights and more.
