Writing Coach and Editor

The New York Times is seeking a dynamic, mentor-minded journalist to nurture, edit and teach the members of our annual Times Fellowship class, and to be a partner in other career development efforts in the newsroom. This editor must possess strong news judgment and experience as a news editor, and have a track record of nurturing and mentoring newsroom colleagues. Communication skills also are essential in this role. In addition, the coach will help us evaluate the reporting fellows as we look to encourage their growth as journalists and provide other support for the fellowship as needed. The position will report to Ted Kim, the director of career programs.
