The New York Times is looking for a contract puzzle editor to support its fast-growing and expanding games subscription business. This position reports to the Editorial Director, and is responsible for curating, editing and producing daily crossword puzzles. This is an opportunity to help shape products that people love. The New York Times Crossword is a unique brand, with a 76-year history and regarded as one of the pre-eminent puzzles on the planet. In the last years, we have expanded our puzzle offering into new games, building on our legacy of creating smart puzzles. In this role, you will work closely with the puzzle editing team to curate, edit and produce puzzles. This person will primarily work on the daily crossword, but may be asked to occasionally help with other games if needed.
