Copy Editor

The New York Times Editing Center, 40-person editing and production operation based in Florida but working virtually, seeks a versatile copy editor, with an interest/background in design, to join a team delivering content through the New York Times News Service and producing several publications, including Times Digest and The NYT International Weekly.

Responsibilities:
Edit and trim New York Times stories for a global audience, while adhering to Times procedures and standards.
Edit and design the Times Digest, published in afternoon, evening and night editions.
Proof pages and read behind other staffers’ edits.
Update stories as news develops.
