Editorial Assistant

The New York Times Licensing Group, the division that manages the distribution of journalism from The New York Times and other content providers around the world, seeks an assistant managing editor to oversee its syndication editorial team. The editorial team is responsible for editing, curating and packaging articles that make up various licensed products and services. They edit, repackage or abridge a wide range of columns, news stories and in-depth features to meet the needs of international clients. In addition, the team contributes to the creation, editing and distribution of bespoke publications and special series featuring essays by international contributors. The editorial assistant, which is an entry-level position, is primarily responsible for managing a portfolio of syndication services and ensuring their on-time delivery to clients.
