Fellowship -- Opinion Video Reporter

New Posted 20 October 2022 | New York, NY | The New York Times

Join the 2022 New York Times Fellowship class as a fellow on the Opinion section’s Video team. Candidates should have polished reporting skills, including experience in casting, accessing subjects, inventing fresh ideas for special projects, framing stories to go beyond the news, and digging up and confirming information not readily apparent. Video experience is preferred, but not required. While visuals are a critical component to our journalism, most of our big projects begin with original reporting and unique ideas. So, we are seeking a fellow who can demonstrate excellence in reporting that can be applied to any story in any medium. The right candidate will demonstrate an eye for high-impact journalism that is unpredictable and innovative. The kinds of projects will depend on the fellow’s interests and skills. The role is for a generalist reporter, but there is a possibility to carve out more narrow pursuits based on the fellow's experience and topical passions.
