New Posted 19 October 2022 | New York, NY | The New York Times

Join the 2023 New York Times fellowship as an audience producer of visual content. The Times is looking for an ambitious and creative candidate to join its visual teams as an audience producer fellow focused on creating off-platform content for Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and more. As The Times continues to produce and showcase visual journalism at the forefront of our core products, we’re looking for someone to help bring our visual journalism to life on a variety of social media platforms. The fellow will work on daily news and politics, features and series, and bigger enterprise and investigative projects to bring our journalism to off-platform audiences. Coordinating with journalists on our visual teams is an essential part of this work, and understanding our editorial priorities is crucial. This role includes experimenting with formats, focusing on speed during breaking news, building a regular publishing cadence and optimizing our workflows. The ideal candidate should possess a strong sense of story, as well as have a good grasp of photojournalism, video journalism, graphics and art direction. The fellow will initiate and execute visual stories, including through photo and video editing and information design. Candidates should be able to collaborate in a fast-paced environment, meet tight deadlines and juggle multiple projects. They also should be able to leverage tools to grow our off-platform presence and engage a younger, global audience. Evening and weekend work may be required.
