“The Daily'' led a revolution in the narrative news podcast space. Now, NYT Audio is seeking to broaden its reach inside the newsroom. Desks such as Culture, Styles, Food, Science, Sports and the Magazine are ripe for innovation in audio. Your job, as the Senior Editor of Shows and App will be to explore and answer that question, and be part of guiding and growing a team dedicated to building out this exciting new wing of programming. We are looking for an innovative audio editor well versed in the world of The Times and audio storytelling to lead the charge in crafting the stories that push our ambitions forward. You must be highly organized, self-directed and enterprising, comfortable in a startup environment, and excited by the journalistic and storytelling opportunities at NYT. You have a strong work ethic, are detail-oriented, approach challenges with curiosity, have experience managing teams and thrive in a highly collaborative, deadline-driven environment.
