Senior Producer, Video

The New York Times Video Unit is looking for a Senior Producer who can lead a team in creating groundbreaking, must-see digital news video. We’re looking for a seasoned video producer and experienced manager who is passionate about live journalism, innovative visual storytelling and deeply reported original journalism. You should be able to work independently to help set the video team’s news agenda, identify critical stories, and jump on storytelling opportunities. This senior producer will oversee everything from live streams and news clips to interactives and enterprise video projects. We’re looking for candidates who are eager to innovate and interested in working on The Times’ expansion into live journalism. A track record of making sound editorial decisions and managing other journalists is essential. You’ll serve as a go-to resource for colleagues, providing editorial guidance and constructive feedback, and must be comfortable enforcing deadlines and working in a fast-paced newsroom. This role will require working with desks across the newsroom and requires a proven leader and effective communicator.
