As a member of The New Yorker’s editorial infrastructure team, the developer helps build and maintain the tools that story editors, fact-checkers, copy editors, art editors, and other editorial teams use every day to produce The New Yorker’s acclaimed and wide-ranging journalism. This role reports to the director of editorial infrastructure and is a key contributor to a tight-knit team, but will also collaborate with stakeholders across The New Yorker’s editorial and consumer-facing product and technology teams to develop efficient, flexible products, tools, and workflows. The ideal candidate is a skilled engineer and a creative problem-solver with a deep interest in journalism. This is a Guild position.
