Sports Desk Intern
Job Summary: The Philadelphia Inquirer is looking for journalism or communications majors who are juniors and seniors and have worked for their college publications. Prior internships at news outlets is a plus but not a requirement. What is most important is a commitment to -- and a passion for -- journalism as a profession. Unless otherwise noted, each intern will work for 9 weeks starting from June to August.
What You’ll Do
Sports desk reporting: We seek a reporter who wants to be in the middle of the conversation, ensuring that our coverage reflects what people are thinking and talking about right now. If you’re adept at quick and thorough reporting, or you know how to spot the real story amid the noise, or you can assemble a great yarn with dispatch. We’re looking for news omnivores who are tuned into what’s happening both nationally and in the Philadelphia region.
