Deputy Managing Editor - News & Investigations

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, with Western Pennsylvania’s largest newsroom and a recent winner of the state’s top journalism honor (Keystone Media Sweepstakes Award), is looking for a dynamic Deputy Managing Editor to direct our talented and growing News & Investigations team. This is a key leadership role in the P-G's accelerated transformation effort. This masthead position requires a proven leader with impeccable news judgment, unassailable journalistic integrity, a commitment to diversity, an instinct for digital innovation, significant editing experience, established management and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across all divisions of the newsroom and organization. The Deputy M.E. editor oversees all elements of the daily digital and print metropolitan news report, with a heavy focus on breaking news, deep enterprise reporting, high-impact investigative projects and innovative digital storytelling.
