Beat: Data reporter collaborating with watchdog and accountability teams covering Napa and Sonoma counties
Position:
The data reporter will collaborate across the newsroom on stories that include the impact of climate change on underserved communities; the impact of the wine and cannabis industries on the environment; water usage amid our historic drought; healthcare disparities; impact of the opioid epidemic on various communities; housing discrimination; inequities in education funding and violence in schools; and racial bias in the criminal justice system.
Salary and Benefits:
Per Guild guidelines, employees with 3 years or less of experience earn $1,081.49 per week. Employees with 4 years of experience earn $1,159.53 per week. Employees with 5 years of experience earn $1,254.30 per week. Employees with 6 years of experience earn $1,349.07 per week.
The company offers full time health benefits which include medical, vision, dental, life, accident insurance and paid time off. The company observes 8 paid holidays per year as well. Vacation time per year is up to 12 days.
This position will be:
