One of The Sage Group’s clients is looking for a B2B SaaS Writer with a strong journalistic background, sales persona and SEO chops. The client is a leading UCaaS, CCaaS, and cloud business applications provider hyper-focused on delivering easy-to-use and secure communication and collaboration solutions to businesses and the partners that serve them.

We are looking for a creative, collaborative, and well-rounded content marketer to write and edit content for a sales audience. If you’re the right candidate, then storytelling, clear communication, and organizational skills are in your DNA. Your colleagues would describe you as resourceful, comfortable with ambiguity, and open to acting on constructive feedback. Broadly, you are well-versed in writing copy that is fun, easy to understand, and helpful — regardless of topic complexity. More specifically, you have strong journalistic instincts and SEO chops. You’re good at sniffing out stories that are interesting, relevant, and timely and you know how to write content that ranks in search results. You’re also comfortable letting others take the spotlight (read: byline) and enjoy giving them a voice. Lastly, you’ll be working with internal and external stakeholders, so you’re comfortable with collaboration across teams and disciplines.

Responsibilities:

Interview Salesforce customers, influencers, members of the broader sales community, and internal experts to get their unique, inspiring stories.
Draft SEO-optimized content that is written to rank but is fun, engaging, and easy to read.
Uphold Salesforce voice and tone in every piece of content.
Collaborate with our product marketing, community, and social team leads as key stakeholders.
Craft promotion plans for your content, including social posts, emails, and internal communications.
Track the performance of your content with the help of our content operations lead; suggest and implement additional promotional efforts as needed to help content hit target KPIs.
Meet fast-paced deadlines.

Required Skills & Experience:

5+ years of experience in content marketing, journalism best practices (to uncover stories and interview SME’s), or professional writing/editing with larger companies, experienced at navigating a larger organization
Tech industry knowledge and interest, particularly within CRM and enterprise sales applications.
Knowledge of the sales industry also desirable.
Knowledge of current SEO best practices
Creative thinker who can not only identify gaps or opportunities, but also offer ways to address them

Excessively organized. Your calendar is your best friend, and while leading meetings with stakeholders, you make sure their time is well spent.
Proven ability to work well with internal and external stakeholders: subject matter experts, creative teams/designers, executives, and social/community/events leads
Ability to learn new tools, systems, and processes quickly
Social media skills a plus
Experience working with Google Docs, Kapost, Quip, and WordPress also a plus

Duration: Long term, but extensions one quarter at a time, potential contract to hire

Location: 100% remote

Portfolio: required with application

Compensation: $65-75hr DOE
