The San Diego Union-Tribune is looking for a full-time Money reporter to join our business team. An ideal candidate would have the passion to write about the role of money in the everyday lives of San Diegans, from making ends meet in our high-cost housing market to income inequality to how young professionals are paying down student loans. You should be able to write about the intersection between social issues and money as well as craft stories that appeal to readers at different life stages, from those starting a family to recent retirees to workers in all income levels and industries. Also critical is the ability to write quickly, clearly and accurately on deadline and work collaboratively with other editors and reporters to develop larger enterprise stories.
