Assistant Arts in Review Editor

The Wall Street Journal’s Opinion section is looking for an assistant editor to join our Arts in Review team. Arts in Review publishes approximately one dozen cultural reviews per week across the full spectrum, from high art and architecture to TV, movies, theater and the many forms of popular music. It also publishes the weekly Masterpiece column. This position requires copyediting and fact checking multiple stories every day; liaising with writers on edits, coordinating other editors’ notes and comments and updating stories at every stage; writing headlines, decks and captions; final proofing of each story; shipping daily print pages and web publishing online copy, and contributing to the section’s expanding digital presence. This position will be based in our New York office.
