The Wall Street Journal is looking for an Executive Producer to lead a team of short-form video producers to create timely video features, recurring franchises and in-depth explainers for our WSJ YouTube channel. The Executive Producer will establish the editorial and creative vision for this team, have a deep understanding of The Journal’s core coverage areas and will drive the team to develop and execute creative approaches to video storytelling. Top candidates for this role will have excellent editorial judgment, strong field production experience and team-management skills. We are seeking an experienced producer with a track record of pitching original video ideas, developing and executing new formats and series and crafting projects in edit. Leadership, decisiveness and clear communication are critical for this role. The Executive Producer will be expected to partner with high-level stakeholders, as well as editorial leaders from across our newsroom’s coverage areas to generate new story ideas. You will mentor and empower a group of video journalists to do their best work under tight deadlines and continue to raise the bar for video journalism at The Wall Street Journal.
