The Wall Street Journal is looking for a reporter to expand our range of rankings and lists, an important and growing initiative for the Journal that already provides invaluable service to a large audience through original research and data analysis. Our annual College Ranking Report is authoritative and widely relied upon by parents and students. Others, like our airport and management rankings, are perennial engagement drivers. You will help us develop and launch new rankings and lists, support the production and growth of ongoing rankings projects across platforms and evaluate strategic partnerships, tools and methodologies around structured data. You will use a range of methodologies to engage with topics ranging from the Oscars to airlines to housing . Existing rankings employ the likes of original polling, natural language processing, accessing proprietary data by building relationships with partners within Dow Jones and external organizations, and mining publicly available data. We're looking for an excellent writer with strong data analysis skills; a good sense of topics that interest the Journal’s audiences, current and future; strong project management skills; and a good sense of design of user-centric tools and content. We value collaboration and creativity, and are focused on leaving our audiences smarter and smiling.
