The Wall Street Journal is looking for a senior executive producer to oversee a growing team of short-form video producers creating timely video features, recurring franchises and in-depth explainers for our WSJ YouTube channels. As senior executive producer you will collaborate closely with a team of video leaders to oversee the editorial and creative vision for this team. Top candidates will have a deep understanding of The Journal’s core coverage areas and a track record of developing and executing creative storytelling approaches that successfully grow audiences on YouTube. A deep understanding of the WSJ subscriber audience and the organization’s potential non-subscriber reach are a must. In this position you will sit at the intersection of editorial and strategy. Leadership, decisiveness and clear communication are critical for this role. You will work closely with senior members of the video department, editorial coverage leaders, and other high-level stakeholders across the newsroom to generate new ideas that can be executed in a short-form video format. You will also mentor and empower a group of video journalists to do their best work under tight deadlines, and continue to raise the bar for video journalism at The Wall Street Journal. The position is based in our New York City office and reports to the Editorial Director, Video.
