Assistant Editor, Personal Finance

New Posted 13 July 2022 | Washington, DC | The Washington Post

The Washington Post is seeking an assistant editor to work with Michelle Singletary, our award-winning personal financial columnist, helping to lead a multiplatform expansion of this core area of Post coverage. We are looking for an insightful and energetic person who can bring clarity to complicated topics and offer creative ideas for making critical financial information accessible to a wide array of readers – particularly young people and people of color. The ideal candidate will have strong writing, editing and project management skills, as well as an entrepreneurial spirit. We are especially interested in hearing from people who have experience generating new products and finding large audiences for them: A key goal for this position will be finding fresh ways to showcase columns produced during Michelle’s remarkable 25-year career writing “The Color of Money,” and building on what is already a broad, deep and devoted community of readers.
