The Washington Post is offering a six-month contract position for a multiplatform editor to work on app experiments. This role requires a well-rounded journalist with experience curating and editing in a fast-paced newsroom environment. The ideal candidate must have strong news judgment, sharp headline- and alert-writing skills, and the ability to respond quickly to breaking news. The candidate, part of the Curation and Platforms team, must also demonstrate an eagerness to work on new products and technology. This editor will curate a balanced daily editorial package that highlights the most important and interesting news, including clear headlines and bold, thoughtful production that maximizes each story’s visual impact for mobile audiences. We are seeking someone grounded in journalistic values who is comfortable multitasking and can think quickly and creatively about how to deliver journalism to new audiences.
