We are passionate about accountability journalism at The York Dispatch and are looking for a dogged local government reporter to join our team. This reporter would join an aggressive team of journalists in south-central Pennsylvania and should be adept at obtaining public documents, analyzing budgets, and asking probing questions of decision-makers.
York County is a diverse region that includes some 450,000 residents spread across 72 urban, suburban and rural communities. We're looking for a reporter who can effectively cover a wide range of issues: From York City's struggle to combat gun violence to the transformation of farmland into industrial warehouses. They should also be comfortable using all the storytelling tools we have at our disposal, including databases, social media and video.
