Bangladesh Correspondent

Reuters is looking for a highly motivated self-starting journalist to join the Dhaka bureau as a correspondent who will cover everything from Bangladesh’s surging needs for energy and commodities, to challenges and opportunities for its massive garments industry, and the plight of the nearly 1 million Rohingya refugees living in the country’s southeast. As a correspondent in the small but densely populated country of nearly 170 million, the successful candidate will document the expansion of Bangladesh’s economy which has grown faster than most, but is now under pressure from rising energy prices. Its ties with regional powerhouses China and India will also be of immense interest.
