Based in London, the Editor, EMEA M&A, will manage a team dedicated to news on the most significant transactions, unearthing the untold story behind the deals and the individuals involved. and setting the agenda for fresh trends in dealmaking. You will steer the group to tap into the industry’s key newsmakers, the most authoritative experts, from bankers to investors to corporate owners, striving to be first with exclusive news and the must-read analyses that follow. You will lift the lid on transactions, unpacking them for a broad audience, while placing the news in the context of bigger themes that are driving investments and sales. You will spot new trends and explain their significance. The successful candidate will have an insatiable appetite for breaking news and a track record in building senior contacts in business and finance. You will be comfortable juggling multiple leads, knowing when to reset priorities and targets for the team to ensure a focus on the most impactful stories. Collaborating effectively with colleagues across Reuters’ vast network of reporters – from industry specialists to local experts – is essential.
