Reuters is looking for a creative and ambitious journalist to cover deals and corporate finance in Tokyo. This is a fast-paced, exciting beat at a time when corporate Japan is seeing plenty of change and more deals are expected. The successful candidate will be able to break news and keep Reuters readers ahead of the curve on critical areas such as mergers and acquisitions and capital raisings, as well as digging into the financials of heavyweight investors such as SoftBank. He or she will also look to deliver deeper, authoritative stories that pull back the curtain on deals and dealmakers in Japan Inc. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues in the bureau, especially with members of our companies and finance team, as well as deals and finance reporters in Asia and around the world.
