Besides having a track record in Brazil for solid, innovative, on-the-ground reporting on forests and associated economic issues, you will have excellent command of English, great writing skills in English, strong news judgment, a desire to cover both economic and human-focused stories and preferably some multi-media skills. You will be based in Brazil – ideally in the Amazon but other cities are also possible– but will work with other members of the Thomson Reuters Foundation’s award-winning global news team to produce longer features, analysis pieces, news stories and video/multimedia projects that influence conversations and policy and shine a spotlight on forest-related issues.
