As part of the India companies team, you would need to have a proven track record of breaking news on major companies either domestically or overseas, expertise in a particular sector or industry, an established source network and the ability to deliver everything from market-moving scoops to fast-paced and informative updates on big breaking stories, along with deeper and more insightful pieces on evolving trends, strategies and innovations in some of the biggest companies and business sectors in India. The ideal candidate/s should have a strong grasp of the Indian markets and evolving policy concerns in the country that potentially impact some of the biggest industries and companies in the country. The successful candidate would work closely with their manager and colleagues in other bureaus in India to ensure we stay ahead of our competitors in delivering news to clients, while maintaining high levels of accuracy and quality. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with our technology and skilled at using snapping tools such as Fastwire and Lynx Alerting – as well platforms like Eikon and Lynx. The candidate should also be an effective communicator and at ease working with virtual teams – and the various editing desks – on breaking news and initiative pieces.
