Writer, TIME for Kids

TIME is seeking a writer for TIME for Kids, our weekly newsmagazine for elementary-grade students. TIME for Kids produces weekly magazines for kids ages 5-13. The TIME for Kids writer will write news and reported features of up to 600 words on a variety of topics across all editions of the magazine, often on a tight turnaround. You will collaborate with editors and receive guidance and feedback from them as you ready your work for publication. Additionally, you will mentor TFK Kid Reporters by assigning, developing, and editing their stories. The role requires some administrative tasks, such as uploading magazine content. You may also monitor magazine email accounts and social media channels and respond to readers.
