We’re looking for a talented Senior Editor with a nose for the news to guide our coverage of all the latest announcements in the world of tech. You’ll be responsible for writing, assigning, and editing news stories across all of the categories that Tom’s Guide covers — everything from TVs and phones to smart home and appliances.
What you'll be doing…
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic editorial team comprising some of the brightest and best from across the Future business. It’s a hands-on role, on a fast growing brand and has plenty of opportunity for development and progression.
You'll work with the Editor-in-Chief to set priorities for coverage, work with news writers in the UK and U.S. to assign and edit stories, keep on top of trending terms and topics to anticipate news coverage, attend key industry events where required, establish strong industry contacts with leading companies to ensure we receive the latest news first and establish a network of analysts to call on to provide extra analysis and depth to our reporting.
Experience that will put you ahead of the curve…
A keen interest and understanding of consumer tech products.
Exceptional writing and editing skills – from the ability to write snappy headlines to tight grammar control, through to the ability to choose just the right image to attract readers.
Ability to deliver content quickly and efficiently.
An interest in and understanding of analytical and SEO tools.
Knowledge of and proficiency with social media platforms.
Self-motivation. The team is split across several offices and continents, so you’ll need to be able to work independently and be willing to attend meetings at other offices as required.

Please note, the salary range for this position is $77,000 - $82,000.
This is a Hybrid role from our New York Office, working three days from the office, two from home.
This is a position covered under a collective bargaining agreement between Future US, Inc. and the Writers Guild of America East.
