US Political Analyst/Writer

Medley Advisors, an EA Group business, is looking for an experienced political reporter to work as an analyst covering US politics and policy in Washington DC.

In this role, you will spearhead Medley’s coverage of the 2024 election – producing short but thoroughly researched reports, podcasts, and webinars – to provide our clients with a predictive edge.

Beyond the election, you will be the go-to person in our US team for intelligence and analysis in economic, budgetary, and trade policy.

Media appearances and guest columns are encouraged.

Requirements

Experience in source development and the initiative, personality, and enthusiasm to expand your contact book.
A genuine interest in politics and policy and, ideally, granular knowledge of polling and skill in political data analysis.
The ability to write clearly and boil down complexity into a forward-looking and tradeable market “call”.
The confidence and knowledge to guide clients in financial markets through policy and politics.

Job Duties

Develop and maintain a source network inside the administration, Congress, agencies, business organizations, and presidential campaigns.
Analyze national and swing-state polling and work with a data specialist to develop new products for our clients.
Write or record snappy, market-relevant reports, podcasts, and webinars.
