USA Today is seeking an editor with excellent storytelling and communications skills to drive breaking news coverage of the 2024 campaign and lead a team of politics reporters.

We are looking for someone who can inspire journalists and guide the team toward impactful stories. You enjoy brainstorming ideas and being in the middle of a big story. You are skilled at elevating news copy and meticulous about editing for accuracy and fairness.

You have sharp news judgment and thrive in a collaborative environment.

You are passionate about accountability journalism, have an eye for people-focused politics stories and want to deliver compelling content for a broad audience, rather than Washington insiders and pundits.
