VinePair is looking for a motivated Audience Development Manager to join our team. We’re interested in someone who is excited about working in digital media, resourceful, and passionate about our brand. If this is you—plus you love the world of drinks—and you have experience in marketing and/or audience development and engagement, we should talk. Salary commensurate with experience, plus health and vision.
This position will oversee VinePair’s presence across channels, including social media platforms and email newsletter, with the ultimate goals of growing our audience and increasing our engagement for each. This person should be ready to experiment in the name of growth, aware of the latest updates and best practices for each platform and its impact on performance, and tapped into emerging marketing trends.
We are looking for a data-driven candidate who’s a hard worker with a great attitude and a knack for generating endless ideas. The ideal person is passionate about VinePair’s mission, “Drinking is Culture,” and will contribute their creativity to continue to grow this dynamic publication. We believe that VinePair produces the best content in the drinks media space and we’re looking for a person to maximize the audience it reaches.
Job Requirements Include
Work with relevant stakeholders to devise comprehensive marketing strategy for VinePair’s content, including articles, podcasts, videos, and more
Develop comprehensive promotion plans for VinePair’s feature and tentpole packages
Produce and/or schedule content for VinePair’s social media channels
Oversee email newsletter strategy and experiment/innovate where appropriate
Contribute platform-specific ideas that align with editorial themes and programming
Manage and collaborate with VinePair’s social media content creator
Contribute to branded content/partnerships as needed
Qualifications
3+ years of professional marketing and/or audience development experience at a media company
Professional experience and/or familiarity with Google Discover and Apple News
Experience managing people a plus
Excellent writing and communication skills
Ability to stay organized and meet deadlines
Additional requirements
Must be able to work 4 days a week in our NYC offices
Must present proof of Covid-19 vaccination and booster
