Sports Editor

The Virgin Islands Daily News, a Pulitizer Prize-winning daily covering the U.S. Virgin Islands and British Virgin Islands, is seeking a Sports Editor/Writer. The successful applicant must be able to multi-task and work well under pressure in a fast-paced, team environment. The chosen person will be responsible for covering local sports, to include the annual Paradise Jam college basketball tournament held in the Virgin Islands, as well as doing layout of sports pages. Our sports pages are mostly AP stories/stats on college and professional sports with the occassional local story such as Little League baseball or a feature on a professional athlete with Virgin Islands roots. We publish both a print and e-Edition newspaper, and work with InCopy and InDesign on the BLOX/Town News system, so skills in those programs are a plus, but not a requirement.
