Announcer/Producer

WAER FM 88.3 Syracuse Public Media has a unique position available - WAER Announcer/Producer - for someone who wants to host & anchor news programs, contribute to our progressive local news department, creating broadcast and digital content.

Use your reporting skills and passion for storytelling, while also developing your voice and presentation among WAER’s most visible (audible) talent. Use your technical skills to do audio editing and production, while creating engaging content. Help create and distribute digital and social content along with mentoring students and the next generation of journalists and content providers. Announcing skills and a comfortable delivery and style are a must. You must also have familiarity with studio and field broadcast equipment, CMS knowledge for web posting, social media skills and ability to find and pitch stories and sources.
