Commodities Markets Reporter

Walker Lovell is recruiting an experienced Commodity Market Reporter to join a commodity intelligence business. As the global carbon markets undergo rapid transformation, reporting on the dynamic changes in the voluntary carbon market and contributing to the daily price assessments.

As a Commodity Market Reporter, you will be responsible for:

Responsibilities:

Attending and reporting from industry and UN conferences worldwide.
Establishing and maintaining relationships with carbon market sources.
Contributing to price discovery by engaging with contacts in the voluntary carbon markets.
Creating daily spot news stories that illuminate market trends.
Producing high-quality, in-depth journalism periodically.

Experience and Competencies:

Minimum of three years' experience in environmental or commodity markets.
Strong news writing skills.
Awareness of price discovery in complex markets and the ability to navigate them.
Exceptional multitasking skills.
A hands-on attitude and a collaborative spirit.
Proven track record as a self-starter who excels under pressure.
Fluent in English, with proficiency in one other language preferred (Portuguese or Spanish).
