As an Energy Editor, you will play a crucial role in shaping the dedicated platform by creating content that informs and educates our audience about the energy transition. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve researching and writing news articles, contributing to daily price reporting, and staying up-to-date with energy market developments. You will also be able to engage with clients and attend industry conferences and events internationally, making this role both diverse and impactful.

Key Responsibilities:

Attend and report on industry and government conferences and events worldwide.
Cultivate and maintain a diverse network of contacts across industry, government, and NGOs.
Create spot news stories that provide insightful analysis and context.
Produce high-quality, longer-form journalism periodically.
Contribute to price discovery by establishing and nurturing relationships in the energy markets.

Experience and Competencies:

Minimum of two years of experience in environmental or commodity markets.
Strong news-writing skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
Understanding of price discovery in opaque markets and the ability to contribute to it.
Exceptional multitasking skills to handle various responsibilities simultaneously.
A hands-on attitude and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
Proven track record as a self-starter who excels under pressure.
Fluent in English and preferably one other language.
