Senior Price Reporter - EV Battery and Low Carbon Metals

My client – a global commodity intelligence provider - is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Price Reporter - EV Battery and Low Carbon Metals.

You will be responsible for producing price assessments and industry-leading market commentary, breaking news and analysis, which demonstrates PRA-aligned knowledge across the Metals market.

Responsibilities -

• Generate high-quality price assessments and indices adhering to company methodology, price specifications, and IOSCO principles.

• Conduct peer reviews and provide approval for price assessments and indices to ensure their representativeness.

• Produce timely and insightful market commentary, along with in-depth features and analyses requiring minimal editing, showcasing expertise and experience.

• Assist in the overall editorial processes of the team, offering mentorship and coaching to fellow reporters as requested by editors or as opportunities for knowledge sharing and team growth arise.

• Build and manage a comprehensive contact base through various communication channels.

• Attend events and webinars, reporting on and presenting relevant information, and, when appropriate, chair panel discussions on behalf of the company.

Skills and Knowledge –

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, business, or related field.

• Experience as a reporter covering business and finance news.

• Practical experience in PRA journalism and writing is necessary for this role, experience in Metals specifically would be beneficial.

• Strong writing skills, with the ability to write accurate and engaging news articles under tight deadlines.

• Experience speaking to an audience on panels, webinars, or delivering presentations to external parties

• Strong networking and communication skills.

• Ability to develop and maintain sources and contacts in the industry.

• Experience conducting interviews and research.
