As the Walla Walla Community Reporter, you will be a journalist for Northwest Public Broadcasting (NWPB) who is focused on community issues and people in the Walla Walla Valley. As directed by the Multimedia News Director, you will source, research, write, record, and edit for audio and web news pieces and social media content. You will also work closely with editors and other internal team members to ensure the highest quality of standards and journalistic integrity that NWPB is known for.
Required Qualifications:
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in broadcasting, mass communications, or closely related field, and two (2) years of radio broadcast and/or news reporting experience, which has included experience in gathering, writing, editing, and producing news and feature reports.
Fluent oral and written communication skills.
Possession of, or ability to obtain at time of hire, a valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
Monthly Salary:
$4,224.37 to $5,280.46 | In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
