Join WBUR’s investigative team as our data journalist. WBUR, Boston’s award-winning NPR News Station, seeks an experienced, dedicated data journalist to gather, analyze and create content from data for investigative stories that will impact the lives of people in New England and beyond. We are looking for a collaborative journalist with five to eight years of experience in computer-assisted reporting who can be part of an investigative team that produces short and long form multi-platform watchdog stories. The successful candidate must be a computer wizard with experience filing public records requests for large datasets and querying them to develop findings, trends and foundational facts for investigative projects. This person will produce data visualizations that distill facts and translate complex information for digital audiences. We are looking for a natural self-starter with strong interviewing, writing and reporting skills. Other strengths should include juggling deadlines as well as collaborating with WBUR journalists and partnering with other news organizations.
