Weekend Digital News Producer

Fort Myers Broadcasting has an immediate opening for a Weekend Digital News Producer. The person in this position will be involved in the day-to-day production of news for digital platforms, including winknews.com, the WINK News app, and our social media platforms.

The person in this position will work closely with the Digital Director, Producers, and Reporters on daily content and breaking news stories.

Required Skills:

Solid news judgment.
Demonstrated ability to create written business news content with accuracy.
Compelling and accurate writer.
Proven ability to manage time in order to put together exciting and informative content.
Experience working in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
Strong leadership skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to execute news strategies and goals.
Flexibility and on-the-spot problems solving abilities are a must.

Experience:

3 years of previous newsroom experience
Knowledge of AP style
A journalism degree is preferred
