Digital Content Intern - Purdue Students (paid)

The Fall 2023 Digital Content Intern will have the opportunity to learn and contribute to the creation, editing, and distribution of captivating content across various digital and broadcast platforms. This internship aims to provide hands-on experience in newsletter production and distribution, professional editing techniques, and social media content creation to promote America Amplified activities and content. As a valued member of our team, the digital content intern will participate in a national project supporting community engagement journalism in public media, offering significant learning and growth opportunities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Value, contribute to, and sustain WFYI’s commitment to representing the rich diversity that is our community and amplifying the stories that represent the experiences of all.
Aid in the creation of compelling visual and written social media content for multiple platforms.
Learn best practices in researching and writing sections of the biweekly America Amplified newsletter, under the direction of the Digital Engagement Manager.
Support the America Amplified team with website updates and revisions as needed.
Assist America Amplified staff in the compilation of digital materials in preparation for engaged elections training sessions in the fall of 2023.
Help America Amplified staff in the compilation of digital onboarding materials for stations participating in the Elections 2024 initiative.
Other duties as assigned.
