Children's Media is responsible for developing, producing, and supervising GBH multi-media productions for children and families. JOB OVERVIEW

The Associate Producer reports to the Senior Producer of the animated preschool television special Acoustic Rooster! The Associate Producer will assist the production team to track and coordinate all aspects of production including content prep, delivery, and post production. This includes (but is not limited to) scripts, talent, animation, animatics, designs, music, and all other elements affecting the format, substance, and style of Acoustic Rooster. The AP will also support the team in ensuring the needs of GBH Internal Departments are met, including (but not limited to) Social Media, Foundation Development, Sponsorship, Legal, Digital, and Licensing.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Support all aspects of production, including coordination, administration, communication, record-keeping, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving.

Meetings: Schedule all team meetings (GBH monthly meeting, weekly Animation company meeting, etc.) and production review meetings (design, animatic, audio records, rough cuts, fine cuts, and mixes).

Routing: Create/distribute regular updates for internal and external stakeholders; schedule Premise Meetings and record notes; review and distribute materials to team members, and external stakeholders; send materials to Legal for review and stay on top of them for feedback; check and compile notes recorded by the Production Assistant.

Voice Records: Remotely join record sessions and oversee distribution of materials to the production team. Manage voice record assets, including downloading and distributing auditions for review, managing and organizing headshots and bios, and aggregating appropriate record materials. Review notes from the Production Assistant to ensure that accurate information regarding all takes and creative decisions are accurately recorded during sessions.

Production Files: Assist Senior Producer in maintaining production files, including animation files and series contracts, final press releases, etc.

Post/Packaging: Liaison with the Media Access Group and NCAM; complete PAA's, UCC's, and packaging forms; update video production summary schedule with delivery dates, prospective delivery dates, airdates and promo priorities; help with Series Shutdown and archiving materials; gather credits from all GBH departments and update credit master spreadsheet.

Be an informed resource to answer questions and provide necessary assets for internal and external partners and stakeholders.

Assist production team to meet any needs of GBH Internal Departments.

SKILL SET

Must have demonstrated ability to manage script distribution and notes process for internal and external team members.

Must have demonstrated ability to participate in and contribute to the animation review process.

Must be independently able to take notes during sessions, think critically about note conflicts, compare new deliverables to previous ones, confirm whether notes have been addressed, and communicate updates to the project team.

Must have proven organizational, editorial, and computer skills as well as the ability to work quickly and accurately under strict deadlines.

Must have excellent communication and problem solving skills, as well as a keen attention to detail, and a creative eye.

Strong interest in children's programming preferred.

Proficiency with Mac OS, Google Workspace apps (Docs, Sheets, and Google Drive), Slack, and Microsoft Office (including PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel) required.

Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop and Premiere Pro) and Final Draft are also a plus but not required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required. Candidates for this position must have a minimum of 3 years production experience, and a good working knowledge of animation production.
