Radio Producer/Announcer

GBH Music enriches listeners' lives through the multiplatform music offerings underpinned by WCRB Classical 99.5, Jazz on 89.7 FM, Jazz 24/7, Classical.org, the Jazz 24/7 online stream, GBH.org/music, and a vibrant series of live and streaming events at venues such as GBH’s acoustically acclaimed Fraser Performance Studio in Brighton, MA.

JOB OVERVIEW

We seek radio hosts for live weekend evening shifts (9 pm-midnight, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). The candidate should be an engaging speaker, knowledgeable about jazz, passionate about bringing new audiences to jazz, and curious about the world outside of music. We are currently looking for substitute hosts, which means that while you won’t have a regularly scheduled shift, we will contact you to sub for shifts as needed. This role is great for freelancers, graduate students, retirees, and anyone else with a flexible schedule. These jobs are on-site only (remote work is not an option).

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

The Radio Producer/Announcer must be an appealing on-air presenter of jazz with a friendly, conversational, welcoming delivery.

Familiarity with jazz is required.

Must be able to learn and use broadcast software.

We're seeking all ranges of experience, from the newcomer to the seasoned professional.
