WhyMaker is looking for individuals, who are dedicated, highly motivated, passionate about STEM and making great content for other educators to join our team to do contract work.

Whymaker is seeking multiple STEM instructional designers to be part of our growing team. The right candidate will be able to work independently, meet a strict timeline, be excited about creating the best content possible, and willing to collaborate with other team members (virtually) as needed.

Looking to fill the position(s) as soon as possible.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have:

Teaching experience REQUIRED (6th-8th/ 9th-12th or CTE focus is preferred)
Strong background in STEM
Created content for the general population of teachers across the US (not just yourself)
Ability to research, find and use the appropriate standards
Be action-oriented providing ongoing project updates
Independent thinker and problem solver
Neat and organized, paying attention to details
Be open to feedback and modifications
Excellent grammar and writing skills

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Create new and unique hands-on projects for K - 12 classrooms
Generate objectives and outlines of lessons and activities
Develop scope and sequence for long curriculum units. Create content that is easy to follow for teachers and engaging for students
Lead in developing instructional materials and student materials for lesson plans or activities:

- Instructional materials may include writing in specific lesson plan templates, creating assessments, objectives, connecting to standards, teacher training information, front matter, additional resources, and be for virtual or in-person.
- Student materials may include worksheets, design journals, portfolios, labs, instructions, assessments, etc.

Create content that is easy to follow for teachers and engaging for students
Implement diverse instructional strategies for diverse groups of learners
Compile into well polished and client-ready document based on templates provided
