With Intelligence is seeking a bright and enthusiastic reporter to join our team of six journalists covering the activities of private investors across the US and the rest of the world.
The role is ideal for a journalist looking to build their financial reporting experience while working for an established global media brand and aiming to cultivate fruitful relationships with some of the most influential investors in the world.
We need reporters hungry for news, who will proactively seek exclusive information for our subscribers and build strong relationships with industry executives. Reporters should be comfortable interviewing senior investment staff at large investors and pressing them for valuable intelligence.
Prior knowledge of the asset management industry is a significant advantage.
You’ll be part of a fast-paced news team, participating in daily news conferences and working towards story targets to provide our asset manager subscribers with the actionable intelligence they need, staying ahead of the competition.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
Writing at least three news articles per week and breaking off-diary stories.
Pitching and writing informed and insightful pieces on the activities, intentions, and preferences of investors and asset owners.
Regularly interviewing CIOs (Chief Investment Officers), Heads of Investment, Heads of Manager Research, and other industry figures.
Building and maintaining a contact book of senior industry professionals.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external public relations and communications professionals.
Representing the With Intelligence brand at a range of global events, conferences, and summits.
Taking personal responsibility to develop knowledge around hedge funds and private markets, as well as private investors and their needs, in addition to the provided training.
Requirements
A successful track record of reporting exclusive stories, preferably in financial journalism
Must be willing to work in our New York office
Journalism degree training preferable, but not essential
Strong organizational and time management skills
Interest in financial markets and willingness to learn
