Journal/Whetstone Magazine is looking for writers that look at food through the lens of history. We want writers to explore the topics of migration, culture, ecology, economy and/or politics, or vice versa. But also: poems, creative nonfiction, more academic-leaning work. Whetstone Magazine is a print magazine dedicated to food origins and culture. It uses food as a means of better understanding humans and the world and takes an anthropological approach to what’s eaten where, and why.
