News Anchor - Reporter (Weekends)

WTOV has an exciting opportunity for a full time Saturday Morning News Anchor / Weekday Reporter! In this role, you will anchor our Saturday morning newscast and report during the week.

The ideal candidate should be able to develop story ideas and gather information for newscasts, have sound writing skills, a great work ethic, and a can-do attitude. The best person for this job will have excellent live shot skills and thrives on breaking stories.

The successful candidate could also have the opportunity to fill in as anchor on our other newscasts. The ability to produce when needed is a plus.

If you like sports, WTOV is the place to be. We value versatility and a passion for sports is a major plus. It takes a team effort when it comes to our expanded Friday and Sunday night sports programs and our LIVE High School Football, Basketball and Baseball broadcasts.

Skills and Experience:

A self-starter and who can generate his or her own story ideas on a daily basis
Ability to demonstrate enterprise reporting and creativity in storytelling
Exemplary communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to maintain an active social media presence to build your brand and solicit original story ideas

Requirements and Qualifications:

Prior anchoring experience is preferred
Live shot experience is preferred
Previous experience working in a team environment is a must
