This reporter will be responsible for writing about investing in trends that are shaping are world, often about the ever-important energy landscape. Experience writing about the world of oil and gas, energy and renewable energy is a plus. The type of stories will include quick-hitting short stories based on stocks moving that day. Along with these stories, the reporter should develop bigger stories about investing trends and how to get behind them. The reporter will be responsible writing multiple short stories a day along with developing longer term stories. Candidates must be self-motivated with a passion for writing about Wall Street and investing.
Responsibilities
Write quick stories based on big investor moves
Spot trends among big investors
Develop investor and analyst sources along with sources inside the energy companies
Break news on big investors
Qualifications
At least three years of business reporting experience.
Knowledge of markets, finance and banking. Some energy industry knowledge is helpful but not required.
Demonstrated ability to develop, report and write stories that matter to a diverse national audience.
Ability to work for multiple platforms – audio, digital and social audiences.
Works quickly under deadline pressure.
