Adam Jacot de Boinod

Freelance Writer

I'm a freelance international journalist covering the world's languages, cultural comparisons and travel destinations.

I'm also a compiler of quizzes, travel round-ups and advertorial. I specialise in destination articles, hotel reviews and male wellness.

I worked on the first series of the television panel game QI for Stephen Fry. My research on the show examined anything 'quite interesting' beginning with the letter A. I read an entire Albanian language dictionary and noted down any words that I found interesting. I formed the idea that there are 27 different words for moustaches and 27 words for eyebrows in Albanian, including, "vetullan" ("very bushy eyebrows"), "vetullor" ("slightly arched eyebrows") and "vetullosh" ("very thick eyebrows")!

I'm also a published author of three books on interesting British vocabulary.
